Sake wine containers, servers and sake warmers

 日本人は下戸の多い民族だといわれていますが、江戸期には一般庶民の食文化の発達と共に様々なお酒の道具が作られました。形状や材質も様々で、一品物といえるようなユニークな容器も数多く残っています。日本人は日本酒を熱燗にして飲む習慣があり、熱燗用の道具も作られました。江戸民具街道ではお酒を入れる容器を中心に展示をしています。

 The Japanese are the tribe having a high rate of non-drinkers; even though during the Edo Period, a variety of sake wine wares, containers and servers were produced as the food culture developed among commoners.  There are various styles, shapes and materials and some are very unique.  The Japanese like to warm sake wine and drink, and sake warmers were also produced.  Edo Mingu Kaido features sake containers and servers, including warmers.
